How do we recruit our tutors?
We have an extremely thorough application process which includes the following:
- Application form
- Telephone security check
- Proof of identity and qualifications
- References
- Online Assessments (comprehension, writing skills and assessment of risk)
- Face-to-face interview
- DBS check
- Social media check
How do we train our tutors?
Prior to working with us, all staff must successfully complete several training modules including:
- Safeguarding
- Assessment or Risk
- De-escalation
Once approved we provide staff with ongoing CPD opportunities including online training courses, supervision, and in-house training.
Each tutor has an allocated Education Coordinator who oversees the work they do.
How will we communicate with you?
Schools will have an allocated NTP Coordinator who will be their point of contact throughout the programme. In addition to this, we have a secure, online portal for schools to access. Here they can log in to see real-time information on their students’ attendance, engagement and academic progress.
How will we keep track of pupil progress?
Our referral form will give schools the opportunity to provide any data relevant to the student’s current situation and their learning needs, along with the desired outcomes of the provision. Our staff create Personal Learning Plans for their students outlining the targets and outcomes, and progress is documented against these.
