Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are government-supported residential schools that offer quality modern education to deserving students, especially those from rural backgrounds. Managed by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, these schools focus on academic excellence along with cultural learning, value education, environmental awareness, physical fitness, and a range of co-curricular and adventure activities.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are residential, co-educational schools run by the Government of India through the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. These institutions were created to offer modern, high-quality education to bright students, especially those coming from rural communities. Along with strong academics, JNVs emphasize cultural learning, value-based education, environmental awareness, physical development, and a variety of adventure and extracurricular activities.

All students studying in these schools receive free education, which includes accommodation, meals, uniforms, and textbooks.

The exam is divided into three sections: Mental Ability (40 questions, 60 minutes), Arithmetic (20 questions, 30 minutes), and Language (20 questions, 30 minutes). Each correct answer is worth 1.25 marks, and there is no negative marking.
